Keeping the tradition alive, the College Library celebrated Basant Panchami with fervour and devotion on February 16, 2021.
Dr. Anirudh Joshi, General Secretary of Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College Society Chandigarh, and Principal, Dr. Balraj Thapar along with staff members
gathered at the college premises to worship Maa Saraswati, Goddess of
Knowledge, Wisdom, Art, and Music. While adhering to all the safety norms, the
attendees paid obeisance to goddess Saraswati.
Yellow sweet rice, a dish specific to the
occasion, was offered to the goddess and then distributed as
prasad.
Kites of various hues and colours took to the sky as
many enthusiastic students and staff participated in kite flying to mark the
festival of spring.
